Use Of Seedling Images
For your convenience we have included an actual photograph of each wildflower seedling. This will enable you to distinguish your wildflowers from unwanted vegetation during the establishment period. The seedling images should be used as a reference during the first 45 to 90 days of development following germination. Your seedlings will undergo a tremendous change in their appearance during secondary growth and stem elongation. Many of the photos will become inapplicable as the plants reach maturity. Sowing a pinch of seed in a flowerpot or cup filled with potting soil will provide you with a transportable specimen to take to the meadow for easy identification.
