CRUSTY PECAN PIE

1 cup white corn syrup
1/2 cup sugar
2 tbsp. margarine
3 eggs
1 tbsp. flour
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt
1 cup or more chopped pecans (or place pecan halves on pie)
1 unbaked pie crust

Boil for one minute: sugar, corn syrup and margarine. Beat eggs slightly, add hot syrup. Beating until well mixed, add vanilla. Mix flour and 1 tablespoon of sugar together; put the in bottom of an unbaked pie crust. Pour in filling; top with pecans. Bake in preheated oven at 425 degrees for 10 minutes; reduce heat to 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until firm in center.
