CALIFORNIA PECAN PIE

1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 1/4 cups light corn syrup
3 tablespoons butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 cup pecan pieces
1/2 cup walnut pieces
1 9-inch pie crust, unbaked

Mix the brown sugar and flour in a saucepan. Add corn syrup, butter and salt. Warm over low heat, just until butter is melted. In a medium bowl, beat eggs with vanilla. Stir in sugar mixture and pour into pie shell. Add nuts.

Bake below center of oven at 375 degrees F for 40-45 minutes, or until filling is set in center. Cool before cutting.
