"My neighbor who lived in one of those grand old antebellum homes with the columns all around the house used to make this when I was a child. I can remember everyone taking turns cranking the old wooden ice cream maker. I would sit on her kitchen floor and eat it in a pink bowl right next to the maker. This is still one of my favorite foods--and I don't evne LIKE ice cream!"
