Leaf Spot Fungus on a Plano oak leaf.

Question: What if anything does this Red Oak Tree suffer from? I live
in DeSoto a suburb of Dallas, Texas. It was bought this year and other
than these brown spots on all the leaves it looks well.

Answer: This is red oak leaf spot--a fungus leaf spot. It is caused
by poor air circulation and favorable conditions such as moisture and
cloudy weather. It will not damage the tree and may occur again. I
have it on my tree in San Antonio almost every year.
