I planted one tomatillo this year for the first time. I planted it from seed in May. It's now six feet tall and blooming profusely but has not yet set any fruit. How long should I give it? Does it need another plant for pollination?

Be patient tomatillos do not need to be pollinated by other plants. They are slower to produce than tomatoes and will not produce in extremely hot, humid weather. If you planted them a bit late or from seed which caused them to bloom late, you may not get production until fall. I assume the plants are in full sun (8-10 hours of direct light).
