I planted one tomatillo this year for the first time. I planted it from seed in May. It's now six feet tall and blooming profusely but has not yet set any fruit. How long should I give it? Does it need another plant for pollination?

Be patient — tomatillos do not need to be pollinated by other plants. They are slower to produce than tomatoes and will not produce in extremely hot, humid weather. If you planted them a bit late or from seed which caused them to bloom late, you may not get production until fall. I assume the plants are in full sun (8-10 hours of direct light).
